Although my Sophie’s Universe has grown way past the point of carrying it around it a cute little bag, I do dare to dream of one day finishing it and then moving on to smaller shawl projects. Two friends made the Maker’s Tote and I was instantly intrigued as to the possibilities.

I like how it opens up completely and the usable assortment of pockets.

The one on the outside fits a phone perfectly!

This pattern, like all my experiences with Noodlehead patterns, was super great. She uses a illustration convention that is unique but once you get use to it, the drawings are easy to understand. Everything worked perfectly.

I used more of my stash (!!!!) with two fabrics I could swear I picked up in Portland but I don’t see them in the pictures. The main fabric is Rashida Coleman Hale’s Scattered Mint for Cotton + Steel. The Bowtie Cats are Kokka and the inside is the yellow wood grain from Birch Fabrics.

I changed the fabric selections in the pattern so that the outside was all one color and the pocket and binding on the outside matched. The contrasting gusset on the outside was too busy for me.

I made the small size, which holds two balls of yarn nicely.

Final Verdict: My God, I can’t wait to use this!
